Alright, I’m proud to be posting this, but PLEASE take note that this is an ALPHA/BETA release, there’s going to be bugs, we know!

 

Tomorrow we’ll be setting up the bug tracker again, so any bug reports keep noted in some notepad file for now.

First of all you’ll need these files to patch your Mafia 2 game. (Currently only supports the v1 original EXE) You’ll need to un-zip this folder and move everything move all the files into Mafia II/pc/ folder.

Problems:

 

If you crash when launching the game here’s a few things you should try:

 

Disable fullscreen mode

 

1) Goto C:UsersAppDataLocal2K GamesMafia IISaves

 

2) Open videoconfig.cfg with your favourite text editor

 

3) If your game launches in fullscreen mode your config might look something like this:

0 0 1024 768 1 0 0 1

 

 

The 5th number you’ll need to turn into a 0, so your new config will look like:

 

Quote

0 0 1024 768 0 0 0 1

 

 

4) Save your config and try launching again.

 

 

note: there’s a few issues with weapon sync where shooting becomes de-synced due to server ping, we’re going to be fixing this tomorrow and releasing some patches!

 

YET AGAIN – THIS IS A ALPHA/BETA release, this doesn’t represent our final product.

FAQ For this build :

 

IT SAYS FAILED TO CONNECT TO SERVER (localhost ip)!!!

 

Navigate to your m2mp.exe file (C :P rogram Files2K GamesMafia IIpc)and right click > run as admin.

 

INSTALLATION IS BROKEN!!! WONT WRITE FILES

 

Once again, run it as admin.

I’ve tried it and they done a very good job so far, but while I was playing the only it made me feel it was kinda Mafia II single player but without peds, theres still no vehicle sync as you may know by now but we can kill each other if we remain on foot.

 

Im not playing it until has a lot more features added, but this is good work, it will be a success. <img decoding=” data-emoticon=”” srcset=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x” width=”20″ height=”20″>

i’m sure they will add more things .it’s still a beta.

you can go to joe’s garage and press “E” and than you can pick a car but i think this requres a DLC that has cars…

effectively this is only phase alpha release 4

it just test player synchronization for now, release alpha 5 will probably add the player cars synced …
