Re: The first person camera
Hello, Ỉ̫m new here. Ỉ̫ve been playing Mafia avidly for six months now. It̫̉s a fine game with a very compelling storyline and well written script.
I would like you to let me know if there are any mods here that can make the first person mode that Tommy goes into when he is either in a smaller room, at certain angles when he is in smaller spaces, or when he is backed against a wall. It remains until he walks into a wider area or away from the wall. I like playing and shooting in this mode. How can I make it replace the third person view?

I have asked for this once, slightly different though, and it’s not really possible because of the way the camera is set up.

Thank you for this. I believe i now need to use BsScript editor. Please let me know how to make this change. I have a vague idea of how to, so please give me a little guidance.
Okay, I tell you how to do it, just follow these steps:
First open FREERIDE or FREEITALY (your choose where you would to put this script)
When loaded everything goto Insert -> Other -> Write a name for the script (eg.FPS Script or what do you want), then Insert.
When inserted search the script name at left side, and paste the script in it, then SAVE.
That’s all.In the game when you push HORN button, you’ll able to play in FPS mod.

Yesterday I tried to install the mod, but it didn̫̉t work. I used BSscript to open Scene2.bin for Freeride and the other freeride files, used insert then other, typed FPS and then clicked on it when the name appeared in the lefthand column. I then pasted the script and clicked save. I pressed the horn button during the game, but nothing happened.
I have Mafia patch 1.2 installed. Is this interfering or what is wrong? Please let me know?
Could be.A lot of mods dont work on 1.2 version.Or there is something wrong idk.
The script that you gave me was for use in a car. It does work and I like the effects, especially the camera effect of leaning out of the car window to shoot the bad guys.
The thing is though, I was hoping to find a script that enables the first person mode that activates if Tommy is standing against a wall, or in a confined area. It is a fully integrated mode that stays on for as long as Tommy doesn’t go too far forward. Itôs got bobbing motions for running, walking, the side roll and firing the gun.
I really want to play the game in this mode.
