Alright, I am experimenting with a new mod Idea and just throwing things on the game and seeing if they work

I am thinking of having a San Francisco Mob location so I am playing with the Golden Gate Bridge, which was under construction in the mid 1930’s

the problem I am having is with a model that is not showing up unless I am right on it, I can’t see it from far off

This is the close view

This is the far view

I have the view distance set way back, and removed all the occluders. There is no cache.bin so i did’t use UDD

Although I tried the same set up in freeride with the same results, UDD applied,

Any ideas on how to get this thing to show long distance?

In Zmodeler, make a copy of the model you want to be visible at far distance and add “:1” behind it’s name.

Example: Object “bridge” will be duplicated into “bridge:1”

The name is not really importand, only the “:1” part which means this object is visible at 1 LOD distance far away.

To summarize, you’ll need a near and far distance model.

I believe with Djbozkosz’s 4ds manager you should also be able to modify LOD’s But I need to experiment with that first.
