Fate of Joe
Hey guys, I’ve saw this youtube video, it shows how to find cut dialogue to find out the “Fate of Joe”. So I tried it, here’s what I found:

3.Go to PC, then sds_en, then fmv
4.Open fmv1513_d.sds
5.Extract Script_15_Planetarium_fmv_subtitles
6.Open with notepad
7.Watch
Alot of stuff was cut out

Wow.. now we know how he actually died. I guess they went for a monologue like at the end of Mafia 1 but decided to cut it out at the last minute.
Interesting read, apparently the Vinci mansion was created entirely for Vito to visit after Joe’s death, that is why the whole building has empty rooms but the office and the main hall, it would’ve been a much great ending, if you saw joe get whacked, then you pull into Vinci’s driveway in the same limo with Leo, exit the car and walk into his office, exactly like the prison entry of 1st person, to really dramatize the scene up, and you sit in Vinci’s office and discuss your future as a potential boss. What is funny about that too, is the way I said is how the game actually ends, because in 09′ April, Denby Grace said to GameSpot, that when the game ends we want to give you a Casino feeling, as to where everything is available to you, and you have loads of suits and of course the typical “sort’ of”, he actually said that.
That would’ve been a damn site better than we got, plus we can say that about everything in Mafia II, everything was half@$$ed as to what it should’ve been. No wonder why Dan Vavra left 2K.

Yeah, it’s sad that they cut the game up. There we’re supposed to be 4 endings in the game, but we only got to see one.
