How in the world do I get Lasiter V 16 before the mission Better Get used to it?

They just rename “cad_phaeton00.4ds” to “cad_ford00.4ds” in Models.

And, by renaming it, it only changes the car in the video not the one you’re actually driving it right?

It replaces the car in EVERY mode 
LOL! It doesn’t automatically mean, that model was renamed. Early versions of the game was completely different, first it was on HaD engine and game looked completelly different (car_road was pink for example) and also early versions of game on LS3D engine was a little different, for example, there weren’t wingmans and car colors was a little different. Dar green chevrolet master six (on screen) wasn’t dark green, but lime,
