Yes that is the goal for the future, as the dev team will keep adding features.
and yes Role-playing servers are being scripted. Hopefully we’ll see something new this month.

The main reason for the lack of activity seems to be caused by the ‘bug tracker’ being down.
Here is the latest we know:
The G17 secure webspace switched servers and G17 probably forgot about putting the tracker back up. –m2-multiplayer.com
