Over the past several weeks, we completed a full migration and rebuild of Mafia Scene. This was not simply a visual refresh. The previous system had accumulated significant backend errors and structural limitations that were impacting stability, performance, and long-term scalability. Continuing to build on that foundation would have created larger issues over time. Moving to a new platform was necessary to ensure long-term growth and reliability.

Below is a summary of what has changed.

Security Cleanup and Database Improvements

As part of the migration, we:

• Removed hundreds of bot and spam accounts

• Cleaned inactive and invalid database entries

• Improved overall performance and stability

• Strengthened account security

This provides a cleaner and more secure foundation moving forward.

Account & Login Notes

Due to migration limitations:

• Some passwords may not have transferred correctly

• Require email address login vs old username. This helps prevents brute force attempts.
• 2FA added to secure user accounts using Google Authenticator

• If you are unable to log in, please use the Reset Password option

• If issues continue, contact us through the Contact Us form for assistance

• Previous avatars could not be migrated — please upload a new avatar in your profile

Our language-specific forums are still active.

To unlock access:

• Go to your user profile

• Select the language you speak

• Save your profile

The appropriate forum will unlock automatically.

Social Login (Discord & Steam)

We have introduced social login options to improve authentication and onboarding:

Mafia I Info — Rebuilt as a Wiki

The Mafia I section has been completely restructured into a Wiki-style display, including:

• Organized story breakdowns

• Character and lore sections

• Improved navigation

• A scalable framework for future expansion

This provides a cleaner and more structured knowledge base.

Front Page Portal Overhaul

The homepage has been redesigned into a modern community portal featuring:

• Highlighted discussions

• Featured content

• Improved layout hierarchy

• Better mobile responsiveness

The goal was to create a clearer and more professional entry point to the community.

Forum and Profile Redesign

We modernized the overall user experience:

• Cleaner topic layouts

• Improved readability and spacing

• Refreshed user profile design

• Structural updates to support future RPG expansion

Push Notifications (Optional)

Members may now opt into push notifications for:

• Replies

• Mentions

• Announcements

• Important updates

This feature is fully optional and user-controlled.

Downloads System Revamp

The downloads system has been rebuilt and secured. In the coming days, we will begin adding:

RPG System — Foundation Phase

We have begun rolling out the foundation of our new RPG system, including:
