But the dissapointment of Mafia II to many (not myself included) and their transfer to a diffrent host which made mafiascene look bare, and removed many functions plus many downtime moments, like now, it resulted in a large decrease of populairity. even if it will be back on line, I doubt it will ever become that populair it once was. MS.net took it's rightfull place and now offers the possibilities back to the old community we once had.

 




I was one of those disappointed , we hung on so long.....to the promise of another Mafia, and what we got was another GTA


 


 




anyway if it came back, I'd go wave hi to Muggy, about the only guy who was left there, and move on


 




last time I checked going there no longer gave you a blank page, but a DNS failure, its gone

texturing is the easiest of all modding


 




just use data extractor to open the files, then all the bitmaps are right there for the changing

They strike me as save game notations but as you have said we only see Tony in mission 10, and Biff in Mission 7 and ten.  There are a few weird things in the test file

I wonder if he will speak to the reality of what happens to a very good game, when the developers get taken over by a corporation who is only interested in the bottom line


 




They gutted the dream out of the game. You can see the extras in the first 5 missions, that aren't there later on

So...er... :dry: ..the centennial of the launching and sinking of the Titanic is about a month away.....

Yeah brother, the download doesn't work....if you click on the faces icon (any langauge) you get : The CD Rom 'Faces' is not accessible'


 




If you click the install faces icon you get stuck in an error loop

Back up often...its easy to make a mistake.


 


 




Sometimes  I call pull out the mistake by editing with a different tool like DC||ED or Mafia World View Editor

Funny thing, I will have absolutely no expectations for Mafia III so I can't possibly be dissapointed.


 




I was thinking , I looked at Mafia on the game store shelf for 2 years before I bought it off the bargain rack, and the game...changed my life. :woohoo:


 


 




I bought Mafia II the day it came out, and was wrecked within a week, especially when I cam to the part where Vito kills Tommy :mad:

Yeah you can fight him for hours and you can't win, its all part of the story line, you have to lose that first fight.  But you get another shot at him
