The Mafioso Mod

Welcome to a rebuilt thread for a modification I started back in 2011 (much dev still remains).
Some missions are crossing the finish line, while others are still on the starting block. As such, everything you see here is subject to change.
My hope with this thread is to post less significant updates/behind-the-scenes stuff, alongside occasional larger updates. A scrapbook, of sorts.

N.B. I go through periods of being able to work on the mod, and those where I can't. Please don't hold your breath.

As I noticed that Matteo had come across some footage of Mafia's original locations, I've decided to create a little thread here about all the locations that Illusion Softworks used as inspiration for the intricate and atmospheric locations that make up this beautiful game, along with in-game comparisons and some blueprints drawn by Daniel Vavra himself.

Does anyone know why this texture isn't showing up? It's in my maps folder and renders fine on MAX..




It's just 3 faces that somehow don't want to hold a texture, I've tried 2 different textures.

I've recently created a mission as part of my mod, and every other time I run it it crashes like:

Can anybody tell me why?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone could send me a copy of their "carindex.def" from the tables folder? Mine is corrupted and I cannot extract a new one at the moment.
