I feel that in 2012, we will see a Mafia III debut trailer, and I would say in the third quarter of the year 2012.

How do you feel about that prediction? I am confident we will see a trailer and if not a trailer, an announcement with photo's. I believe by this time next year we will have quite abit of news concerning Mafia III.

I think that will be lovely to see, especially that everyone wants to know the rest of the ending of Mafia 2. That's my opinion. Thanks.

And what do you think about premiere date ? When will it be ?

In my opinion, we wait for some information about the Mafia 3 for a long time because we know 2K and hold long 2KCzech information about their upcoming projects under wraps.  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">   But I would be very happy if they released some information already released this year  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"><img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

I doubt we will see any unveiling in the upcoming month(s). Especially when Borderlands 2 is right around the corner. I guess an announcement of the game being under development could happen around Q4 2012 - Q1 2013. If the rumors are true too, that Mafia 3 will release for Xbox 720 & Playstation 4 I believe there will be NO announcement this year at all. Though I would not complain if there would be an announcement at Gamescom '12 :woohoo:

Check out what Mafia-Daily has reported, apparently the top job's at 2K Czech are in dire straits for people to work there, maybe this is a good or a bad thing, not sure.  <img src="/emoticons/huh.png.04e12a04934075c5a1e0c618a726c4d9.png" alt=" " data-emoticon="">

By the look of the jobs available on the banner. It looks like they need a complete new team <img src="/emoticons/huh.png.04e12a04934075c5a1e0c618a726c4d9.png" alt=" " data-emoticon="">

Yeah, I thought the situation was okay over there, we heard all this news of already in deep production etc, and then we find out 2 years later, they need pretty much an entire new work force.  <img src="/emoticons/sick.png.5e18d4558e116e768dc9391ac4b6df84.png" alt=" " data-emoticon="">

Apparently a Mafia III announcement may happen next years E3, and if not, probably the year after, I strongly feel we're going to be waiting, another 3-5 years for the next Mafia III.  ??:

An announcement in 2012 is perfectly reasonable.

They're not going to take 8 years this time since they're not building a new game engine from the ground up.

Two thing need to happen for me to even be remotely interested in Mafia III though.

1) Daniel Vavra not only comes back but he is also given full creative control of the project.

2) Jack Scalici has absolutely nothing to do with this game, his name doesn't even appear in the credits.

Guys let's get a few things straight:

first of all Daniel Vavra not only has his own game studio right now, where he is working on a medieval game, but he has also stated ( can't find the source ) that he has lost interest in the mafia era. I personally understand him after what 2k did to his game.

Secondly I have seen that Mafia III was to be made for the new generation consoles like ps4 and xbox 720 BUT because of a huge lack of programmers and game deisgners etc in 2k czech they will likely make the game for the already existing consoles ps3 and xbox360. No mention was made regarding pc but I am sure pc version is a must .

I have to say that I don't know what would be the outcome of a Mafia sequel without the ''magical'' hand of Daniel Vavra and I hope they don;t make it a linear boring game . Mafia deserves to be a sandbox with special features and that's all we want. We have to wait until we see an update on that matter. I would be grateful if the anouncement was to be made before Christmas
