Hello everyone

I was checking out some mafia II images for a site when I noticed something weird .Specifically the disc cover of the product where we see Vito , Joe, Henry and probably Marty carrying guns and behind them 2 cars with turned on lights. The second one ( at the right side ) looks familiar ( must be Indian Potomac) but the first one ( at the left side) has an unfamiliar front face. Could it be just a design for the cover or it was one of the cut cars? Any ideas?Ãâà

It looks to be the Culver New Yorker before the changes. It looks like a 41 model car possibly chevy but because they had to make changes so chevy wont cry about it it ended up the Culver.

Indeed, I always thought they were potential cut cars, just like this one here...

It is a mockup of a 1950 Aston Martin DB2

But like 50% of all things shown from Mafia II before release, it was cut.

Maybe it's tucked away in some .sds file with other things like the wespe and the Sherman Tank. I have seen these vehicles within other files but couldn't guess on how to extract them for in game use.

I found that within the Balls&Beans FMV that there is a full detail taxi, the level was originally built for you to follow Luca in the taxi to the Slaughter house, wich is why this photo was made by 2K in 08'...

If you look in that FMV Dgumba, you just may be able to change out the current Taxi's with the full detailed one, it even has a fare counter, and full detailed seats, it's the exact taxi that Vito arrives home in during the cutscene after prison in 1951.

Well it's missing important information for use in game. The closest I got to figuring out what was missing by using the in game taxi files was some freaked out car (spikes and black ) with a body in it or one of the characters from the scene in it sideways. Should have taken a pic.Ãâà  :<img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  Anyway the problem is in the frame resource file which has characters, guns, cutscene and 3 cars in it instead of just one object like normal. I noticed a custom exhaust on it also so that kind of makes me sure it won't work. Other than the maps being replaced with the detailed taxis there's not much more you can do. I think they are the same also.
