Joshua: Hi!

Mafia 4 upcoming production game play just got leaked and this game was running on the latest Unreal Engine 5.2. Recently, one of the guys at Hanger 13 shared some information about their upcoming Mafia game. This is what he said in the interview:

QuoteI'm happy to confirm we've started work on an all-new Mafia project! While it's a few years away and we can't share anything more right now, we're really excited to keep working on this beloved franchise and to entertain our players with new stories.

It was pretty much confirmed that the latest Mafia game is in development and another leak stated that we will be playing as Don Salieri and the game will be set in Sicily.

There is this brand new leaked game play that's surfacing across the internet and a lot of people are believing that this could be the new Mafia 4 footage. It's early footage and it looks incredible. Some people pointed out that the car's plate shows "Texas" on it but it is being speculated that this could just be a placeholder.

Rumors are always exciting but we can confirm that Mafia 4 is being developed. As to the "leaked footage" goes, it looks great but we can't 100% confirm it is from the new Mafia 4 game.

Mafia continues with Mafia 4, which is currently in development. But how far ahead is the game? A new job listing reveals first details.

Back in the day, Mafia was the game. Every cool kid in the schoolyard was playing it, and everybody who wasn't playing it... wasn't cool. Simple. There was even a time when Mafia was cooler than GTA because it was "real mafia stuff, son" – as if we had any clue as kids, but hey... it definitely felt grittier.

As you all know, Mafia Scene (com) has been offline since around last November. Mr. Robville has reached out to me and let me know that there were some server issues and they're doing their best to get it back up and running.

One of the many things about running websites is you always have to update, keep up with changes. PHP is the backbone of most dynamic sites and it's now entering the 8.x iteration. The platform that MS.com was built on, while solid as a rock, just hasn't kept up with the fast changing pace of PHP. This ultimately will cause problems with the way the site functions and displays. That is the short, sweet and non-technical version of what's going on.

If you do have any questions, feel free to drop a comment here or please go over to the MS.com Facebook page that I'll link below with the latest update from their page:

Hi everyone. An update on the current downtime of Mafiascene.com

Due to a problem with the webhost, the site has resulted in being pulled from the server. The administrator is currently working on it and reviewing the latest backup. There may be some compatibility issues that need addressing considering the site's old software.

When more information becomes available, it will be updated here.

Hello Mafia Scene!

We wanted to give you some update on one of the more popular mods for Mafia, Mr. Robville's Titanic mod.

Recently we reached out to Mr Robville about some updates and here is what he had to say:

After much thought, and a lot of requests recently, I want to know what people think about turning the Titanic Mod into an independent PC game.

A couple years back I was fixated on the idea that this mod would be a Mafia exclusive project only. However, times are changing and during my fulltime week I've received lots of requests from people to turn this mod into a standalone game.

Doing so, with or without the Mafia mod next to it is a big decision to make. Therefore I want to ask everyone who's following this project what they think about the idea.

I've opened a poll where everyone can vote. I'd like to have as much people to vote as possible, but I also want to know what some of your thoughts are. Should I make it my sole project, or should I keep it as a sideproject next to the Mafia mod? If I were to make a game of it, what price range do you prefer and what kind of subject should be the focus?

There have been quite a few Titanic games recently. Though only a few such as Honor and Glory managed to maintain a proper quality level. I liked to keep this mod separate from all of those games, but having seen how underdog this project has become, I hoped this mod would have been a bit more known. The fact that the creators of Mafia 2 & 3 aren't even aware of this project is a testament of how isolated the community around this project is. As I highly doubt this project will ever gain further attention from the rest of the world being a Mafia mod only, making it into a standalone game doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Besides, on the technical aspect there's a huge advantage as well as I can use a next generation game engine which does not only do a lot more justice for the 3D models in terms of rendering quality, but also offers a much more sophisticated and stable platform to build this project in. The sinking can be dynamically animated, and everyone who doesn't own Mafia can install the game without any compatibility issues.

That all, of course, only matters if people are interested in such a thing.

So, please let me know what your thoughts are on this subject. Should I develop a standalone Titanic game? Click on the poll below or share your thoughts in the comments.
