Just a heads up to let you all know that the mod is currently on hold while I commit to another, more important project which will be ready for Mafia's 10th Anniversary  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  but more on that another time.

Too much time has passed. Its time for something new...


 




New updates that is  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">


 




Not having as much time to mod as I used to this days I try to scrape together the minutes and hours I can to do what I can on this mod.


 




I've decided that due to my abscence for so long I've got to show something productive.


 




So what better way to that than with...


 




SOME SCREENS!


 




These are fresh from production (a couple of lighting errors need to be attended to) so they are more or less top notch.


 




Backstory of these screens - It is mission 4 of Commission Mod part 2. Franco has been assigned to go back to Sultant City to hit the Ottovella brothers. Two Rogotti family made men, at a smoke shop they use as a hangout.


 




Franco buys his ticket to return to Sultant City.







 




Back on familiar roads.







 




Home sweet home.







 




This is a secret mission. No one can know of Franco's sudden re-appearance in Sultant City. So all witnesses must be killed. Too back for the owner of the shop. (Also for authencicity I've took the time to add some cigarette ads on the walls of the time. Such as doctors actually recommending cigarettes  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"> )







 




Mission accomplished. The Ottovellas are dead.

I know I've been a bit quiet recently guys and galsÃâà    


 




But I thought I'd just post a quick message to say.


 




"I am not around as much because I now have alot more hours at work and alot less freetime. But still. Just to keep you all informed with a little update. I have nearly finished Mission 3 of Part 2, so all I ask is be patcient  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  I am still working hard on this but I am rather busy these days so I usually work on the mod about an hour/hour and a half each day in total  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  Not as much time as I'd like to be working on it but unfortunatly I have to allow for other things.


 




So yeah. All is well, the mod is alive. I recommend all of you just go about your business and I'll let you know when I drum out new updates worth hearing  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">


 




The total Commission Mod Part 2 progress is probably around 15 - 20% at the minute.

You finally solved what was plaguing me for ages I was going crazy trying to find a way to make all the fire escape seen instead of just the bottom (So the player doesn't just walk on thin air when using the fire escape). Thank you Asa!

But I thought "This tedious bit is done now and this part may interest people" so I took Fraps and got busy.

You're half right my friend. It is not a mod as such, but it will just be a modded video celebrating Mafia's 10th Anniversary. I'll not say much but It will involve music, dancing, a band and every single character from the story (from as important as Don Salieri to as unimportant as the priest) will be there .

I cannot and will not ever forgive 2K for what they did to me. Did to all of us.I waited the full 8 years for this game and they lied and cheated me, and us all. Right to the very end.You gotta give 'em credit of being great advertisers. They managed to continue to spin the wool over all of our eyes right until the games release.Regardless of whatever modders accomplish with Mafia II. Not amount of modding will ever EVER fix what SHOULD of been a fantastic successor to the original. Everytime I play (which is hardly ever. I only play Buzzsaw and Room Service chapters to remind myself of the hype) I can see the remains of greatness that was left behind after they finished with their chopping board. After 8 years in the making, this was the absolute LAST! thing that should of befell this game. They should have left it alone. It never deserved to be cut.I took it hard, and I still do. I will never respect Mafia II for what it is. Only for what it could, and should have been.Hence why I stick purely to Mafia 1 forum boards and mods. Its been a while.
