  2. Hmm, one can’t help but wonder. Is it because Russia is in Syria helping Assad?

“One US defense official directly familiar with the ISIS campaign said it is unclear what the President meant by the comments. The military's current assessment is that now is not the time to consider withdrawal, citing numerous challenges in Syria.”

    Social Media Promotion

Hello Mafia Scene! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas holiday! We wanted to update you about a feature that is available to our modders. Our approved modders will have the abilty to publish news about their mod directly to our homepage for everyone to see. We feel that this is necessary to get information to the community. In addition, the news will be published automatically on the homepage as well as in our forums. The second feature our modders will have is the abilty to promote their news item to social media. Once a modder clicks on "Promote To Social Media" they will be presented with an information box. After that information box is filled out the news is ready to submit directly to the Mafia Scene Facebook and Twitter page. We feel this feature will help expose the modder's work to a wide range of Mafia players who use social media daily. It also allows them to do what they do best, mod the game! They don't have to focus on logging into Facebook or Twitter to post information when they can do it directly from Mafia Scene! We hope these features will be used and enjoyed by the community to help make information and news about mods easier to get. We hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years! See you in 2018! Downloads Overview

Hello Mafia Scene! We wanted to give you a little information about our new downloads section. Our download section will have the standard categories. Mafia I, Mafia II, Mafia III. From here, the categories will be further broken down into sub-categories. We haven't decided on all those sub-categories yet so please send us your feedback about what you'd like to see! Traditional download sections allow the user to upload a file, set a description and that is all. With our new download section the modder will be able to choose if he/she wants that file to be free or paid. If he/she chooses it to be a paid file then the cost will need to be set. In addition, a renewal option can also be set. The renewal fee is available to those modders who want to maintain their mod, or work on it to release updates on a regular schedule. This is just one of the ways we plan to help our modding community. We know that coding a mod is an arduous task and takes many hours and late night hair pulling sessions. We hope that this will allow our modders to get excited about their work and to release quality updates. In addition, we will enable our rating system on those files. If a mod gets too many negative ratings with supporting feedback, then the file can be removed from the system. We want to maintain the quality of the files hosted here and with that, any abandoned files shall be removed as well. OH! We wanted to show you a short video showing the upload screen. We invite your feedback and if you are a Mafia modder an are interested in hosting your mod here, please contact us using our "Private Inquiry" forum.

    We Are Open!

After being offline for two years, we have decided to re-open our community. We have migrated our website to a new platform that we feel will offer the community the best user experience. As we grow, we intend to utilize our website to engage our members via social media. We also plan on giving our modding community the tools they need to be successful in promoting their content. As part of our website migration, many accounts have been purged. In fact, around 7,000 accounts were removed from our database due to no content being posted. Moving forward, we intend to purge inactive accounts twice a year. If you do have an account, but your password does not work, please reset your password. It is possible that during the migration process the password conversion did not work properly. Our download section is currently not open. It will re-open once we reach out to modders. We are in the process of setting up a unique download section at Mafia Scene. We want to see the modding community grow. As part of our commitment to that, we will be offering our modders the option to offer their work for free, or for a fee with renewal options to those who purchase. We know that modding and coding is a lot of time consuming work and we feel that the modder should be in control of this. Our downloads will have a review/rating system in place. We feel that the community feedback is important to maintaining the integrity of our download system. If a download gets too many negative feedback, it will be removed from the system. If you are a Mafia modder and you are interested in uploading your work to our website, please let us know. We will be happy to help you set up a section in our downloads area with 100% support from us. As 2017 ends, we are excited in our renewed efforts to our modding community. We hope our renewed efforts will be noticed and we can once again grow. Mafia Scene Staff

  19. Can you believe it has been 15 years since the first Mafia title came out? Well, maybe you can once you see the graphics, but the point is that 2K and Hanger 13 are celebrating this anniversary. A special trailer was released to announce that to celebrate the game’s 15 years of crime and violence, all 3 games will be available through Steam as part of a bundle. The Mafia Triple Pack is 65% off, making it so that players can pick up the $84.97 bundle for a flat $30. Not too bad for three games if you are looking to get into the franchise for the first time or replay some old favorites. Although, if a bundle doesn’t interest you, you can pick up II and III on the cheap thanks to some hefty discounting. Mafia II is currently 75% off, bringing its price down to $7.45. Meanwhile Mafia III is 60%, making it $15.99. The first title in the franchise, however, doesn’t have a discount unless it is purchased as part of the anniversary bundle. The first Mafia title is only playable through Windows. Mafia II and III, however, are available for download on PC and Mac. Mafia III is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but not as part of this deal. You can watch the anniversary trailer below, which is a retelling of the franchise’s history through the perspective of FBI Agent Jonathan Maguire. Happy Holidays

From all of us at Mafia Scene to you : Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
  23. The latest free update for Grand Theft Auto V's GTA Online mode is now available. With this installed, PC, PS4, and Xbox One players can all take on The Doomsday Heist, a brand-new online heist for GTA Online and the biggest piece of content Rockstar has rolled out for the mode to date. [Update: It turns out the update holds more than we thought, as it also includes a new Red Dead Redemption 2 tie-in mission of sorts, seen in the video above.] Rockstar describes The Doomsday Heist as a "massive new adventure" in which players will team up to thwart "a plan so diabolical it could end life as we know it." The heist spans three acts, each of which "involves negotiating multiple ruthless Freemode prep missions, tactical setup operations, and experimental weapons and vehicles." Rockstar says that all three acts of The Doomsday Heist end in an "over-the-top finale" that will net you a hefty payoff. In order to participate in the new heist, one of your crew members will need to own "one of the previously undisclosed IAA facilities hidden under Southern San Andreas." That will give you access to the advanced planning room that maps out how to complete each new mission. Players who own the facility also get the option to have either their own Strike Team or Orbital Cannon, a devastating weapon "capable of immolating any patch of ground that incurs your wrath." In addition to the new heist, today's update introduces "dozens" of new weapons, vehicles, clothing options, and other content to GTA Online, such as your own Mammoth Thruster jetpack and The Avenger, a turreted aircraft capable of vertical take-off. Other new vehicles available in GTA Online now include: Thruster (Warstock) Deluxo (Warstock) Stromberg (Warstock) RCV (Warstock) Chernobog (Warstock) Barrage (Warstock) Akula (Warstock) Khanjali (Warstock) Volatol (Warstock) Comet Safari (Legendary Motorsport) Ocelot Pariah (Legendary Motorsport) Coil Raiden (Legendary Motorsport) Ubermacht SC1 (Legendary Motorsport) Vapid Riata (Southern San Andreas Super Autos) Declasse Yosemite (Southern San Andreas Super Autos) Finally, Rockstar has added eight new Achievements and Trophies to earn. The developer has brought back Criminal Mastermind challenges for all three acts of The Doomsday Heist, as well. Each finale mission also has Elite Challenge objectives for an even steeper challenge and additional rewards. The Doomsday Heist is the first new online heist Rockstar has introduced since the missions were first introduced in 2015. It's available to play for free for all Grand Theft Auto V players and is one of the many new content updates Rockstar has rolled out this year, including the aircraft-centric Smuggler's Run expansion. 25. What do you hope to see?? Let us know in the thread below! Original Article Credited to: Nathan Hughes April 2, 2014 http://www.onlysp.com/what-we-hope-to-see-in-mafia-iii/ The Mafia series has always been one of our favourites. Great old-fashioned music, realistic elements and a fun, but sometimes, harrowing look at the life of a mafioso, Mafia 2 was a fantastic game. With the recent news that Mafia 3 may be set in Louisiana, we decided to take a look at we would like to see in the highly anticipated sequel. More Than One Character, But With More Range If thereââ¬â¢s one thing that GTA V did well, it was having 3 characters. It gave a bit more of a range than the typical ââ¬ÅI donââ¬â¢t want to shoot bad guys, but I will anywayââ¬Â story that the series often relies on and allowed for a fresh new feature that open world games ought to take advantage of. Mafia 3 is rumored to have 3 characters instead of the usual one. These characters include the well-groomed business type Tony, the weak but loud-mouthed Mickey and the strong-willed and loyal Franklin. While these characters may seem rather clichéd on the surface, it is the potential of their interactions with Mafia society that could be interesting. The Mafia took pride in its Italian roots and members could only reach an ââ¬Åeliteââ¬Â status if they could prove they were full-blooded Italians with roots in the ââ¬ÅOld Countryââ¬Â. The fact that Franklin is a coloured character and Mickey is more than likely an Irish descendant, their involvement with the Mafia might be more restricted than the fully-Italian Tony. It could also give a social commentary to the rampant racism and xenophobia that was present in America. Either way, the diversity of the characters could certainly have more of an impact than GTA V did. Better Story + Memorable Missions Mafia 2ââ¬Â²s story was good, but it ended rather poorly and a lot of what could be considered cutscene material occurred on long car trips. Not to make too many comparisons to GTA, but when IV did this, a lot of conversations served as filler to the already substantial story material. The conversations were just a thread of a characterââ¬â¢s life or a humorous anecdote between the protagonist and another character. Mafia 2 relied on driving to give the meat and potatoes of the story, and even the cutscenes and character development were inconsistent. There was never any reaction from Vito for what happens in the story or when someone dies and it just felt off. In terms of missions, there never really was too many memorable ones. From shooting up a diner, blowing up the hotel or sneaking into the meat factory, Mafia 2 deliveredàsomeàquality missions, but the average/mediocre outmatched them considerably. While this is an issue with a lot of open world games where 1 out of 20 missions are amazing, I think Mafia 3 could deliver some great missions that could evoke references to top Mafia culture like Goodfellas, The Sopranos or The Godfather while still telling a good story and developing great characters. Set Up Your Own Operations With Your Own Gang One of the main motifs of any Mafia story is rising through the ranks from a street hustler, to a top criminal. However smart or tough you think you might be, that is not an easy task for just one person. Thatââ¬â¢s why there ought to be some form of gang-building in Mafia 3. You could hire people through contacts on your telephone or go down to the local bar and ask the tough guys if theyââ¬â¢re interested. Either way, once you start to build a reputable gang, you can start to make a little bit of cash. Maybe you and your crew could meet up and discuss robbing a bookies, shaking down a store for protection money or lifting alcohol off of a delivery truck. The opportunities for making money should be endless in this game and it would certainly help make a lot of side missions which Mafia 2 sorely lacked. After a long day, you could meet up with your gang for some ââ¬Åfriend activitiesââ¬Â such as shooting darts, racing, betting on horses/greyhounds, fist fights or even just chilling out at a safehouse to learn more about your other members Mass Effect style. Mafia 2 focused on the story of Vito and Joe and I think it might be time for expanding that ââ¬Åblood brothersââ¬Â gang into something even bigger. More Realism Probably one of the best aspects of Mafia 2 was being able to have a sense of realism with the game. You could pump your own gas, pay off a fine for speeding, go to a diner and grab a bite to eat. There was a lot of ââ¬Årealisticââ¬Â aspects that helped give the game a sense of authenticity and it is often those small details that can help make an open world game even more believable. àMafia 3 should certainly expand on this realism. A day and night cycle should be included in the game that changes the behaviour of pedestrians in the city. If New Orleans really is the new setting, the population should get rowdier at night time and more subdued in the day time. You could imagine crowds rushing to get to the trams in the morning for work and big parties at bars and nightclubs at nightime. On top of all this, there should be a lot more interactivity with buildings and homes. You can enter any businesses and purchase or steal commodities, as well as enter housing at night to steal from them. After all, you are a criminal and you should be encouraged to try your hand at every crime possible. Side Missions While the main story of Mafia 2 was fun, there was a severe lack of stuff to do with the game outside of it. Sure, you could go to the bar and drink, or have the cops chase you down for speeding, but there was never any real missions to do. Mafia 3 should bring something new to the table and include a multitude of side missions that give you experience that help you rise through the ranks and play a stronger role in the Mafia. Side missions like dealing drugs, racketeering, heists, hitman assassinations etc. are all crimes that Mafia members have been known to be guilty of. Perhaps there could be a level of specialisation with one of these missions so your character could be known as the Drug Pusher or The Hitman, granting you special attributes to become a better criminal, or giving you access to contacts to help sell you cheaper guns or cars. We are eagerly anticipating the sequel to Mafia 2 and, hopefully, weââ¬â¢ll hear more about the sequel in the near future. Got a feature youââ¬â¢d love to see in Mafia 3? Let us know in the comments below!
